I'm Ben, a 2D compositing artist studying Visual Effects at Escape Studios.
I love learning more about the software I work with, testing the limits and pushing my skills to the test. I enjoy learning both in Escape and during my own time using tutorials on Youtube.
I am looking for my first Junior Compositing role, wanting to get my foot into the industry.

3DEqualizerI can complete 2D and 3D projection clean-ups, removing unwanted elements such as wires and objects from a plate. I can also paint out and rebuild the area behind them, tracking patches to the camera and matching grain and texture so the fix is invisible in motion.
I can complete chromakey cleanup and keying, including fine edge detail such as hair. I can also rotoscope moving subjects and objects into clean mattes, and combine roto with keying to extract a full subject.
I can complete procedural set extensions within Nuke, and static matte painting set extensions in Photoshop. I can also integrate extensions into the original plate, matching grade, lighting, depth and camera movement so the new environment sits naturally behind the action.
I can complete CG integration into a live action plate, and live action integration into a CG or replacement environment. I can also integrate shots together without CG, matching colour, lighting and edges so separate elements sit in the same scene.
A one-page summary of my compositing skills, projects, education and work experience.
